Hari Aggarwal

Hari Aggarwal: Hari was appointed as a Trustee on 2nd June 2025. Hari also serves as a Member of RMET since February 2016, and previously served as a governor and member of the school PFTA for many years, helping to raise funds for RMGS. His professional background is in finance, working with an international investment bank for 40 years. In addition to his full-time job, he is heavily involved in the local community, including being a school governor at Byron Primary School, and being finance director and treasurer for the Medway Racial Equality Committee (MREC), as well as a public governor for the Medway NHS Foundation Trust. At RMET, he is a member of the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee.  

Matty Peacock

Matty Peacock (Chair): Alongside being a Trustee since 2023 and now Chair of RMET’s Board of Trustees, Matty is the Managing Director of Health and Care Space Newham. He has 30 years’ experience across the private and public sector, including formerly being a management consultant and adviser to several governments. Matty lives in Rainham. He attended Rainham Mark Grammar School himself, and is also a parent of a pupil at RMET. Matty is the lead Trustee for Careers, and also a member of the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee.

James Sims

James Sims: James was appointed as a Trustee on 24th February 2026. 

Will Smith OBE

Will Smith OBE: Will is the founding CEO of the Greenshaw Learning Trust, a successful multi-academy trust, leading 40 schools across the South of England. Judged by Ofsted to be an outstanding and inspirational school leader, he has worked in school leadership for over 20 years and was leader of the PiXL network for a number of years. More recently, he is the inspiration behind the growing collaborative, By Leaders for Leaders. Will is a national leader in education, and regularly supports other schools and trusts. He also speaks at educational events and, as well as being an established executive coach, is a father to three teenage children who are, alongside his wife, Caroline, his inspiration. Will is also a Trustee at the Beckmead Trust (comprising special schools in London and the South) and the Westacre Arts Foundation.
